This portrait series was inspired by a woman walking around the Royal Alcazar palace grounds in Sevilla. She was so enigmatic and confident, I had to paint her! I also incorporated a photo I took of tile within the palace walls, which you can see in many of the works below in the background and sometimes on her face and shoulders.
